Product Owner - Digital Sales Hub

As Product Owner - Onsite Search and Product Filtering in the Digital Sales Hub, your primary responsibility will be to guide users to their desired products or content on our website. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience by ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our search functions and product filters.

You will also be part of the team responsible for the Product Catalogue. This means that you will contribute to overarching projects related to the product catalogue. You will collaborate with the team to align the search and filtering capabilities with the overall product catalogue strategy, ensuring that they serve the broader goals of global product steering.

To ensure that our improvements are aligned with user needs, you will rely on data analytics and a customer-centric approach to UX/Design. By leveraging these insights, you will drive enhancements in the right direction, ensuring that our search and filtering capabilities remain cutting-edge and user-friendly.

Tasks

• Responsible for the global search and product filters on the Festo website.
• Enhance and optimize the onsite search functionality to improve search accuracy and relevance.
• Develop and maintain intuitive product filters that allow users to refine their search results effectively.
• Collaborate with the team responsible for the Product Catalogue
• Collaboration with the analytics team, the UX/UI team, the CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) team and the other Product Owners of Digital Sales
• Utilize data analytics to gain insights into user behavior and preferences.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously improve the search and filtering experience.
• Ensure a seamless integration of search and filtering capabilities with other website features.
• Further development of the local search at the level of the local Festo companies.
• Advise local companies on the use of new back-office functions and features.

Skills & Interests:

• Engineering, computer science/IT, business informatics or similar studies.
• Strong technical understanding / “Passion for Festo’s Business and Products”.
• Basic understanding of computer science/IT.
• Analytical interests.
• High customer orientation.
• Fluent in English.
• Good communication skills and team-oriented work.

We would love you to have:

• Experience with Search Engines like Elasticsearch or specially SOLR/Lucene useful.
• Experience with Java, Hybris (SAP eCommerce) useful.
• Experience with agile methods, SCRUM, SAFe useful.
• Experience in UX Methods (e.g., A/B Testing, Design Thinking, Crowd Testing) useful.
• First experience as a product owner or architect useful.
