Full-Stack Developer

Our client is a global leader in engineering with over 20,000 employees worldwide. They create and develop highly specialized technical tools for several applications, such as industrial automation, chemical depuration, food and beverage processing, 3D modeling, etc. Due to their strong growth, our client is recruiting Software Developers for their recently established Digital Hub in Barcelona.

Working in the Digital Hub, you will act as a catalyst of change leading key digital transformation projects across the company. As part of the hub, you will be involved in driving key strategic initiatives within eCommerce, product configuration, Analytics and Digital Sales.

To achieve its goals the Digital Hub is led by startup veterans that are creating a startup cultured unit under the umbrella of this billion-dollar Corporation. Working in this environment, you will be part of a dynamic mix of Festo Spain, the Digital Sales Hub, and Global IT, collaborating across these areas to drive innovation and digital transformation within the company.

What we are looking for:

The incoming Full-stack Developer will have the opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology stack –Modern.js, Module Federation, Sass, Typescript, OpenApi, Docker, Vitest, Playwrite, Spring, Gitlab, Kubernetes, Azure Blobstorage, ApiGee, Solr, among others– in an informal, agile and technology focused work environment. Since the project is in a transition phase, be aware that you will have to touch legacy code. You will be given ownership over your work and will be at the forefront of technical design and decision making.

Role Description:

• Developing and maintaining the front-end as well as the backend side of our constantly evolving eCommerce web platform for supporting our online catalog and processing our customers transactions in over 55 countries worldwide.
• Create automated software tests and documentation.
• Coordinate and align requirements with the business units and with internal and external customers.
• Support and collaborating with an agile team.

Requirements:

• Degree in information technology, or similar.
• 3+ years of related professional experience.
• Practical experience coding backends with Java and Spring as well as frontends with React, advanced state management, Typescript, Sass and GitLab.
• Experience with React Meta Frameworks, SwaggerUI, Docker, Module Federation and SAP Commerce Cloud is a plus!
• Ability to work in an international and diverse team with good communication skills.
• Independent and structured way of working with holistic thinking.
• Good written and spoken English skills, as you will need to speak English daily, including technical vocabulary and the ability to express complex circumstances.
• Spanish, German, and Lithuanian language skills are valued but not required.
