Senior Hardware Design Engineer (Electronics)

Your Job:

• Contribute to system design and architecture by aligning hardware concepts with mechanics, software development and overall product requirements;
• Develop analog and digital hardware solutions from concept and schematic design through validation, industrialization and production release;
• Supervise PCB layout from initial concept to series production, ensuring EMC-compliant, manufacturable and cost-effective hardware design;
• Support product care activities for existing products by improving quality, producibility, component availability, lifecycle robustness and competitive production costs;
• Drive hardware-related industrialization topics together with production, purchasing, quality and cross-functional engineering teams;
• Monitor semiconductor market developments and initiate technical alternatives, redesigns and obsolescence countermeasures where needed;
• Build, bring up, debug and test prototypes, including coordination and execution of functional, integration and production-oriented validation tests; 
• Actively participate in project teams, FMEA reviews and design-for-manufacturing discussions to ensure robust product implementation.

Technical Competencies and Requirements: 

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Communications, Engineering, etc.; 
• Excellent written and spoken English, knowledge in German language will be considered as an advantage;   
• Very good command of MS Office.

Professional Competencies and Requirements:

• Proven expertise and practical experience as Hardware Designer at least 5 years;
• Expertise and deep knowledge in current industrial Ethernet interfaces (ProfiNet, Ethernet IP and/or Ethercat);  
• Practical experience in schematic and PCB design, Cadence Allegro;
• Good knowledge in control systems engineering and analog electronics.
