Sales Manager ISM ELA, Singapore
The Semiconductor and Electronics industry Sales Manager drives consistent, sustainable growth by implementing the Semiconductor and Electronics business strategy in line with Festo's Cluster strategy. The role focuses on expanding market share within the Semiconductor and Electronics segment, particularly in Electric Automation. As the key business driver for the Semiconductor and Electronics segment, the manager leads strategic initiatives and sales activities to achieve ambitious targets.
Beyond achieving numbers, this role involves creating a growth vision and inspiring the team to excel. The manager engages, enables, and empowers the team, fostering a performance culture of continuous development and resilience. By prioritizing coaching, building skills, and nurturing motivation in the team.
Key Accountabilities:
Impact on Business
- Accountable for Industry Segment -Semiconductor and Electronics Sales and achieving related sales objectives.
- To define and execute business plans and quarterly & yearly budget.
- To develop high potential local accounts and to increase share of wallet within the given timeline.
- Establish excellent customer relationship with Festo value proposition.
- To develop a Go-To Market action plan on Festo Electric Automation and Targeted Applications within Semiconductor and Electronics segment.
- To work and support Global and Cross Cluster Key Account Management to win and execute plans with global customers within Singapore.
- To manage day to day operations within the team, ensuring activities from Account Plans and KPIs are delivered in a timely manner.
- To prepare sales forecasts, monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas and adapt procedures to improve the overall performance of the sales team.
- Involve and support on acquisition and supervision of key customers/ accounts and negotiate special prices who are of strategic importance to the organization.
- Conduct periodic sales calls/reviews and generate related booking forecast.
- To manage contracts ensuring that agreed terms & conditions are complied.
- To participate in strategic projects, pursue and provide guidance in developing winning strategy/action plan.
- Involve and support in sales meetings with customers to identify needs and gain customer acceptance of Festo product and solutions.
- Involve and manager customer relationship management with team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- To perform any ad hoc tasks been assigned from time to time

- To understand, observe, and evaluate market trends and competitor activity and implement the necessary measures for the target industry segments.
- Responsible for the annual budget and mid-range planning process.
- Formulate innovative sales plan that supports the business goals.

People Leadership
- To use quantitative data such as turnover, order entry and opportunities to identify the performance of his/her team and team members.
- To be a careful observer, a skilled questioner and a trusted advisor who gains qualitative data by spending most of his/her time in direct contact with his/her team (as a team and as individuals).
- Provide sales leadership, mentoring and coaching to team to maximize business opportunities.
Communication with internal and/or external Customers, Suppliers as well as Third Parties
- Coordinate cross country/segment inquiries (if occur) with management within Cluster.
- Support on negotiate individual or framework contracts (e.g. prices, conditions, volume) and signing contracts within the delegated responsibility (e.g. in accordance with condition guideline).
- Understanding the target audience businesses, their needs and pain points and conduct thorough research and discovery.
Qualification Background
- Successfully completed studies in the field of Engineering such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or automation technology, Business Administration, or comparable qualification.
- 5-7 years relevant business experience necessary
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in People Management and/or experience in managing in a networked organization is crucial.
- Experience in the industrial automation market and the ELA industries, products and Semicon applications is crucial.
