About the Role

As an Application Engineer at Festo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping machine performance and customer success. Acting as a trusted solution architect and advisor, you will collaborate with customers and Festo sales teams to deliver optimized mechatronic solutions that align Festo technology with industry requirements. Your focus will be on developing electric motion business for secondary battery and semiconductor industries, working closely with leading semiconductor and secondary battery players in South Korea. It is a highly dynamic role that bridges technology, industry expertise, and business strategy.

Responsibilities

Engineering Solution Development:

• Serve as a technical consultant delivering tailored mechatronic solutions to enhance machine and production performance.
• Develop conceptual designs, automation system layout, feasibility analyses, and ultimately deliver solution proposals to resolve customer challenges.
• Stay updated on market trends and technological advancements to ensure solutions meet evolving industry standards.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive application database to streamline customer engagements.
• Contribute to workshops, training events, and customer engagements to foster awareness about Festo technology.
• Build strong technical credibility with customers by proactively addressing industry challenges and solutions.

Sales Process Early Engagement:

• Collaborate with Festo’s global and local engineering teams to create innovative and industry-specific mechatronic solutions.
• Partner with Field Sales Engineers (FSEs) to create strategic account plans targeting high-potential customers.
• Develop engaging sales materials and conduct training sessions to empower the sales team.
• Share success stories and best practices to promote collaboration and scalable success across teams.
• Monitor competitor activities and evolving customer requirements to refine Festo’s market positioning and strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Deep understanding and background in mechatronic engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and motion control).
• Familiarity with pre-sales consulting and crafting tailored solutions for complex engineering challenges.
• Basic understanding of key requirements and applications within semiconductor and secondary battery industries.
• Proven capabilities to interact with technical stakeholders to identify challenges and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working with sales and engineering teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Business Level English

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience of working as project or application engineer in industrial automation field.
• Proven expertise in industry-specific technologies and applications within semiconductor and secondary battery industries.
• Foundational understanding of software engineering for PLC and advanced motion control systems architecture.
