Service Engineer
Responsible to carry out service jobs remotely and/or at customer’s site. Responsible for failure identification and root cause analysis on technical complaint.
Key Accountabilities
Impact on Business
- Responsible for carrying out service jobs depending on qualification (remotely and/or on-site)
o Troubleshooting of Festo products in customer application
o System installation and/or coordination of system installation
o Commissioning of systems with Festo products
o Inspection of Festo products in customer application
o Maintenance of Festo products in customer application
o Energy saving services
o Product repairs
o Programming services of Festo PLC
o Optimization/modernization of systems
o Customer-specific workshops
o And other services in service catalogue
- Documentation and reporting of service activities
- Respond to customers’ technical inquiries and ensured adherence to the agreed target setting
- Supports Sales Engineer, including site visit, in defining the right price and conditions for a service
- Transferring of expert knowledge to internal and external Festo thru training, application note, demo product or other method
- To perform any ad hoc tasks been assigned by Line Manager from time to time
Innovation and Change
- Failure identification, root cause analysis, identification of suitable measures, fault clearance, implementation of improvement measures of Festo products
- Development, maintenance and execution of test and simulation (after sales) in the Festo Experience Center
- To observe any potential of process change opportunity
Communication with internal and/or external Customers, Suppliers as well as Third Parties
- Case escalation to Product Support if problem solving is not possible
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronic or Electrical
- Master’s Degree in Mechatronic or Electrical, but not mandatory
- Diploma can be considered based on work experience
Professional Knowledge and Experiences
- 3 - 4 years of Industrial Automations experience necessary.
Extended Knowledge and Experience:
- Customer service oriented
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good spoken and written in English
- Experience in Control system, PLC programming (Festo, Siemens, Omron, Allan Bradley, and/or Beckhoff), sensors, motor controller, servo motor, and/or remote IO, and
- Knowledge in Compressed air preparation, energy saving, pneumatic actuators, control valves, and/or process valves
