Supplier Quality Engineer at the Global Production Center Scharnhausen (m/f/d)

Your job: 

• Responsibility for ensuring the product and process quality of suppliers
• Monitoring of supplier quality results, direct triggering of complaints and immediate containment measures
• Supporting suppliers with quality problems 
• Validating and initiating chargebacks to suppliers in relation to scrap, rework and failure costs incurred
• Carrying out analyses to improve processes at the supplier's premises in coordination with SQD and other partners. Supporting product launch activities for the value creation process
• Supporting the release of purchased parts and production processes for new products/product changes and new/changed supplier processes (e.g. auditing) in cooperation with SQD
• Evaluation of the release of initial samples and decision on inclusion in series production for purchased parts as part of the product launch phase, formal transfer to series production (project handover)
• Participation in product and process FMEA activities in the PEP for purchased parts. Responsibilities in all areas
• Improvement of quality standards, processes and/or concepts at suppliers in terms of quality, costs and delivery reliabilit

Your qualification: 

• Successfully completed technical studies in the field of manufacturing or production technology or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the field of quality, preferably in supplier management
• Expert in quality methods, ideally Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
• Sound technical knowledge of process and project management and quality management systems as well as in-depth knowledge of production processes, at least electronics and one other technology
• Certified process auditor according to VDA6.3
• Business fluent in written and spoken German and English 
• Very good IT skills (SAP, MS Office, etc.)
• Leadership skills and good communication skills with different hierarchy levels
• Strong teamwork skills, diplomatic assertiveness and advanced training and moderation skills
• Willingness to travel is a prerequisite
