IT System Engineer DMZ Operation & Security Services (m/f/d)

Your job:

  • Ensuring the efficient and stable 24x7 operation of our DMZ (on-call service) and critical security services in the network environment (e.g. remote access VPN)
  • Detection and elimination of service limitations and incidents (e.g. bandwidths, number of ports, KPIs)
  • Definition and implementation of firewall rules together with the responsible application operators
  • Development and implementation of security policies and zoning concepts
  • Evaluation, introduction and operation of new technologies as well as standardization and automation of recurring processes

 

Your qualifications:

  • Successfully completed studies in computer science / communications engineering or comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of network and firewall operation
  • Sound knowledge of network technologies (routing, switching, security, VPN, NAT)
  • Practical experience with network technologies from different manufacturers and security solutions
  • Sound knowledge of network analysis and troubleshooting (baselining, monitoring, protocol analysis) as well as knowledge of network security (microsegmentation, NG firewall, IPS, Zero Trust)
  • Sound programming skills (DevNet, Python, Ansible, Terraform) and in-depth cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure)
  • Ideally certifications (CCNA, CCDA Security, TISP)
  • Team orientation and independent way of working
  • Communication and conflict resolution skills as well as flexibility
