Sales & Logistics Support Specialist

Summary of job contents

 This position supports Didactic business through customer data management and order fullfillment support.  Some main components of the job include the following: 

  • Managing customer information for our Industrial Workforce Development (IWD) business; creating, updating, and inactivating customers in the ERP system.
  • Creating quotation documents for the IWD Business in the ERP system; may specify the right training product requested by the customer and offer it with a proper price.
  • Receiving purchase orders and enter sales orders into our ERP system directly from customers, dealers and Regional Center personnel; may verify order specifications and sales requirements and provide sales order related information to customers and dealers.
  • Operating the order fulfillment process in the IWD business, from the enrollment of the participants to request for invoice to Finance.
  • Managing and operating the logistic process for the training required equipment for trainings offsite to include shipping, receiving, storing, and replacing damaged components; should be able to prepare the delivery documents and receiving documents in the ERP system.

Key accountabilities

  • Receives request to create, modify and inactivate customers in the ERP Master Data.
  • Evaluate the customer data to avoid problems in the Customer Master Data.
  • Operates the ERP system to create, change or inactivate customer information.
  • Receive requests for quotation and create the document in the ERP system.
  • Receives, reviews inquiries for Sales Orders, Sales Order Status and Delivery Status.
  • Interacts directly with Sales District Managers, Regional Contact Center and other Festo employees with inquiries on status of orders, shipping information and follow-up.
  • Expedite orders and assists in resolving problems.
  • Receives incoming calls, e-mails and other modes of communication and takes accurate messages and routes information to appropriate personnel and follows-up as necessary.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required.

 

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Festo SAP SD and Customer Master Data Modules a plus.
  • Excellent Communication Skills, both written and oral.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Conflict solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
