Quality Technician
Summary of job contents
Responsible for ensuring and verifying quality levels of Festo product in accordance with established standards and specifications. Completes inspection requests by using the ICM+ Database. Trains work groups on standards and specifications.
Key accountabilities
- Visually inspects product at all stages of production for proper identification and status and examines hardware and components to detect assembly or packaging defects.
- Maintains Project Folders with applicable pictures and inspection documentation.
- Conduct Monthly Quality meetings with Technicians
- Provide necessary training to the Technicians
- Tracking plant quality measures, FPY scrap, and MRB quality.
- Reads and interprets engineering or production drawings, catalogues, or other pertinent data.
- Prepares inspection reports, requests and records inspection and test results. Identifies product to indicate correct identification, or inspection and test status, using appropriate tags or labels.
- Overtime may be required for short-term or long-term duration, as business needs mandate.
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Knowledge and Experience
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret quality control specifications
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret technical information
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Job Duties
Perform quality assurance analysis, audits, and product recertification on automation technology products. Monitor quality related KPIs, monitor and lead improvement efforts, and assist in rework process. Perform MRB functions on NC material, support DFMEA activities, prepare quality documentation, use APQP methodology, and lead control plan development for new product introductions and corrective action activities for existing products. Will perform ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, and internal audits.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent is acceptable) plus two years of experience as a quality assurance analyst or related occupation including experience with ISO 9001.
