Summary of job contents

 

 

Key accountabilities

  • Determine the repair status of customer returned material in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Read and interpret engineering or production drawings, catalogues, or other pertinent data in order to assemble and/or repair product in accordance with the applicable specifications.
  • Disassemble and/or reassemble product using mechanical assembly hand tools including screwdrivers, wrenches, pneumatic drivers, special tools, etc.
  • Use inspection tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, tape measures, torque wrenches, multimeters, plug gauges, dial indicators, thread ring gauges, thread plug gauges, flowmeters, etc.
  • Pull and review and confirm order specifications and customer/product requirements and execute repair specifications. 
  • Examine form, fit and function of parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Functionally test customer returned material for proper function using pneumatic service units, fittings, valves, sensors, accessories, test hardware and software.
  • Identify product to indicate correct identification, or inspection and test status, using appropriate tags or labels.Assure a timely response and feedback to the resolution of repair issues to management.Overtime may be required for a short or long term duration, as business needs mandate.
  • Perform daily functions to comply with the 6 S system.
  • Other duties to be assigned.
  • Travel may be required  (up to 20%) by any mode of transportation as determined by the company for business reasons such as, but not limited to, skill development, training or a company business event. This would include travel to and from Corporate Headquarters/Regional (field) offices.

Knowledge and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and Trade School; or minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Festo Cylinders, Drives, Air-Prep and Valve Terminals.
  • Prior assembly experience.
  • Knowledge of basic assembly practices and safety standards.
  • Ability to use computer and word processing and spreadsheet software. 
  • SAP experience
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment and machine tools.
