Production Scheduler Specialist

Summary of job contents

 Production Scheduler Specialist focuses on planning production to optimize the use of resources and materials to meet production schedules and market demands.

 

Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for the PP, D and/or OM processes within the plant
    • Supports development and roll out of global SCM standards within the plant and within the international production network.
    • First contact for tool related HQ SCM processes
    • SCM topics and projects within the plants
    • Continuous improvement of existing processes
  • Implementation of SCM projects within the plant along with the operation units
  • Qualification of employees within the Master Planning Teams
  • Training of employees and governance of SCM standards and routines in the operation units
  • Clarify and prioritize IT demands and business process requirements with plant experts, global PPS-specialists, HQ business experts, or HQ PP product owners or IT global factories
  • Second level support within the local factory SCM Team in case of questions, problems and bugs regarding capacity and production planning processes and SAP PP transactions
  • Testing and approval of transactions and processes in the according SAP ERP module/IT solution
  • Ensuring the right setups of master data in SAP PP
  • Support overall coordination of the CUPP process and GCP-GCP network topics
  • Regular communication with the project and process specialists from the international production network
  • Interface to corporate capacity and production planning processes
  • Responsible for escalation and reporting to lifecycle and systems leader, master planning leader, OU leader, and SCM leader
  • Create transparency and improve on existing processes; develop and challenge new standards/processes with MPL VSL

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • BS degree preferably in economics or engineering field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • ERP Experience in Materials and PP Modules; preferably SAP
  • Advanced Production Planning/Scheduling Experience
  • Advanced ERP Order Processing Experience
  • Manufacturing Methods and Processes
  • Lean tools and techniques; continuous improvement mindset
  • Quality Plans and Quality Audits
  • Costing Principles and Pricing
