Summary of Job:

The Inside Account Specialist will speak on behalf of the customer, focusing on the customer experience throughout the Festo value chain. Oversees all activities related to key accounts and their affiliated accounts. Act as the Point of Contact for internal sales and customers alike, on all inquiries about products, cross reference quotes, order processing, follow-up, quality management, technical support and after sales requests.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for customers
  • Liase with HQ/TSHQ and all internal Festo departments

  • Provides Total Order Management for key account

  • Processes purchase orders, quotes and handles miscellaneous inquiries via SAP, Outlook, etc.

  • Use Cross Reference tool when crossing over third party products to Festo products

  • Partners with Technical Support and Sales to resolve customer concerns pertaining to product alternatives and ensures the items are allocated to a timely production

  • Generates, maintains and submits daily and weekly reports to clients to showcase revised lead times and back orders

  • Provides product replacements using tools such as XDKI or Quick Search Plus to recommend alternatives to improve late order deliveries

  • Tracks and monitors purchase order requests and liaises with production and the warehouse teams in HQ, U.S. and Canada to facilitate changes to production schedule  

  • Provides Festo website, Online Shop and catalogue navigation for products, services and after sales tools

  • Completes all necessary follow-up and administrative tasks required

  • Participates in special projects and other duties, as required

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education is preferred

  • A minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience dealing with mid-size to large companies and accounts

  • Bilingualism in English and Spanish is considered an asset

  • Hands-on experience with SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – must have the ability to communicate with diplomacy and interact with colleagues and customers in a professional and positive manner

  • Highly attentive to detail and fact-finding as to ensure accuracy of reporting

  • Extremely well organized and resourceful with the ability to prioritize urgent tasks

  • Autonomous and self-sufficient while working with limited supervision

  • Ability to interpret customer issues to produce quick, effective results

  • Work well under pressure through ambiguity with problem solving and growth mindset

  • Possesses a positive, team player attitude

  • Required to work varying shifts on-site including evening, weekends and holidays when requested
