Engineering Technician
Summary of job contents
Provides operational support to the Manufacturing Engineers, Value Stream Leaders and Team Leaders. Executes sub-projects (tasks) in consultation / after approval by
the Engineering Lead.
Key accountabilities
- Hands-on problem-solving.
- Conducting research, collecting data, and writing daily reports.
- Maintaining records and assisting with presentations.
- Plans work processes and work sequences, selects the corresponding equipment, determines standard times in the value stream.
- Is responsible for creating and maintaining the technical conditions for ensuring the smooth operational flow of added value in the value stream.
- Is responsible for the implementation of adaptations of operating equipment, processes, NC programs; both in series production and for new products and changes.
- Participates in the implementation of projects to fulfill quality requirements.
- Plans and optimizes the equipment in the assigned operation unit in coordination with the leaders in the operation unit/value stream.
- Creates production plans and flow charts.
- Supports the purchase of new machines and equipment by considering the latest manufacturing and/or assembly technologies.
- Provides all information which is necessary for the execution of an operation/work sequence (technical documentation, NC program, assembly instructions, work sequence chart, Operating Instruction Sheets, Standard Work Charts, etc.).
- Checks production documents for feasibility and releases them.
- Maintain content of the ERP system (SAP…).
- Is responsible for the operational design/validation of the workplaces according to MTM, EAWS.
- Makes suggestions to reduce costs and improve ergonomics or quality.
- Supports the production engineer / value stream leader according to the implementation of improvement measures.
