Senior Developer Electric Motors (m/f/d)

Your job:

  • Technical responsibility for the design and development of servo motors as an automation product, from concept to production including the development of continuous improvement and cost reduction measures
  • Support in the implementation of manufacturing processes in production (including assembly equipment, production facilities and end-of-line test benches)
  • Development of functional engine prototypes and definition of accompanying qualification measures 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, testing, product management and certification to ensure seamless integration of motors into Festo Drive Systems (PDS)  
  • Technological contact for suppliers, sales and customers 
  • Support Purchasing in the selection and development of suppliers for motor components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and cost targets
  • Monitoring and analyzing industry trends and advances in motor technology and ensuring the international multiplication of knowledge in this regard

 

Your qualification:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in motor development and electromechanical design, ideally in the field of electrical automation technology
  • Strong knowledge of electrical machine design principles, including electromagnetics, thermal management and control systems
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques for the production and testing of electrical machines
  • CAD skills in Creo and ideally knowledge of the Windchill PDM system
  • Good communication and cooperation skills as well as experience in multi-project management
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills 
  • Willingness to travel, especially to our locations in Eastern Europe (5%)
