Product Manager Functional Machine Safety (m/f/d)

Your job:

• Global responsibility for the "Functional Safety" product portfolio of the Pneumatic Supply business unit (e.g. vent valves, shut-off valves and function combinations)
• Creation and further development of a sustainable and market-oriented product strategy and product roadmap for the product portfolio for which you are responsible
• Management and further development of the responsible product portfolio over the entire product life cycle
• Elicitation, definition and documentation of product requirements for new products in the field, taking into account the relevant safety standards (Machinery Regulation EU 2023/1230 and, if desired, ANSI B11 standards)
• Preparation of competition and market analyses and regular contact with customers
• Preparation of profitability analyses including sales, turnover and strategic quantity planning for the assigned product families
• Preparation and implementation of international product trainings and support at trade fairs
• Supporting sales in the development of customer-oriented instruments and concepts for market launches (e.g. sales guidelines, product animations and editorial contributions for trade press and customer magazines)
   

Your qualifications:

• Completed university degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in product management, sales or development, ideally in the field of pneumatic automation technology
• Very good knowledge of functional machine safety and the associated norms and standards, ideally from an application or customer perspective
• Good product and market knowledge in the field of pneumatic and electrical automation
• High level of analytical and conceptual skills
• Entrepreneurial and far-sighted way of thinking and proactive way of working
• Business fluent in German and English
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (approx. 15%)
