Head of Electric Motor Development (m/f/d)

In dieser Rolle verantworten Sie die Produktentwicklung für elektrische Motoren innerhalb unserer Business Unit Electric Automation. Sie führen ein Team von 10 Personen an unserem Headquater in Esslingen, darüber hinaus sind Ihnen Entwicklungsmitarbeiter*innen an unseren Auslandsstandorten per Dotted-Line zugeordnet.

Your job:

• Disciplinary and technical management of the development team for electric motors and cables (low voltage and safety extra-low voltage) at our headquarters
• Technical management of the development teams at our foreign locations
• Global definition and implementation of the development strategy to increase efficiency with regard to motor development in terms of methods, processes and tools
• Monitoring development projects, including time planning, resource management and budget control
• Evaluation and optimization of existing engine concepts as well as evaluation of new technical solutions
• Monitoring compliance with quality standards and legal regulations of the global target markets in engine development and product maintenance
• Coordinating the technical product maintenance of existing series products, including various merchandise products

Your qualification:

• Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar field of study
• Several years of experience in leading teams and in the development of electric motors
• Sound knowledge of motor development, calculation and design of motors as well as performance optimization and material selection
• Experience in the area of functional safety
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Team-oriented leadership and coaching skills
• High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication and presentation skills

Part of the selection process is an assessment centre.
