System Engineer OT Network (m/f/d)

Your job:

• Design and implementation of OT network solutions, taking into account the specific requirements of the production environment
• Configuration and optimization of network components such as switches, routers and firewalls
• Monitoring network performance and carrying out capacity planning as well as network tests and audits to ensure compliance with security standards
• Ensuring network security by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems and other security measures
• Documenting network topologies, configurations and changes
• Working with external service providers to identify and resolve network issues
• Company-wide collaboration, especially with other IT and OT product teams and Festo companies in Germany and abroad
• Training and support for employees on network issues
   

Your qualification:

• Successfully completed studies in communications engineering, computer science or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience as a system engineer in the field of OT networks
• Extensive knowledge of network architectures, protocols, standards and technologies (e.g. Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, IEC-62443)
• Experience with industrial network components and technologies (e.g. Industrial Ethernet, OPC, Profinet, real-time communication)
• Knowledge of network security and experience with security measures for OT networks
• Certifications in Cisco and Fortinet or similar and knowledge of industrial automation and production technology are an advantage
• Business fluent in German and English and enjoy working in international teams
• Good analytical skills, independent, goal- and solution-oriented way of working as well as excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills
