Your tasks:
- Development of legal material requirements (national and international) on the basis of guidelines, legislation, standards and customer specifications
- Determination and coordination/implementation of all necessary company activities with regard to the legal requirements to be fulfilled (ChemG, ProdSG, ElekroStoffV, BattG, KrWG.)
- Data maintenance in the ERP system, updating SCIP notifications with the database tool
- Supplier and customer communication on global substance-related topics
- Creation of customer information (REACH notifications, conflict minerals)
- Analysis of current substance restrictions (worldwide) and risk assessment for Festo Didactic products
- Monitoring of trends in legislation and internal strategic advice for our product development
- Responsibility for the development of a material database
- Contact person for material inquiries from other areas of the company
- Conducting training courses on material topics
Your qualifications:
- Target group-oriented communication, confidence in your subject area through sound specialist knowledge, determination and perseverance to convince other people and enjoy your work
- As part of your previous professional activities, you have gained several years of practical experience in supporting (material) compliance issues
- Successfully completed studies in chemistry, engineering, business, environmental or natural sciences with knowledge of European environmental law or a comparable qualification
- (Several years of) experience in the field of material compliance with EU relevance (RoHS Directive, REACh, POP Regulation)
- Analytical, conceptual and organizational skills
- Experience in data management and working with databases
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills and a high affinity for IT and processes
- Experience in product approval in the CE area desirable
- Motivation for the topic of sustainability and an overarching understanding of environmental and climate protection
