Head of Area Sales I
Role Summary
You will manage and develop sales performance within assigned geographic areas or industry segments. Your mission is to grow revenue, build long-term customer partnerships, coach the sales team, and execute strategies that support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Manage assigned customer accounts, build strong relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with senior management to set realistic sales goals and industry-focused strategies.
- Coach, mentor, and support the sales team to maximize performance and professional growth.
- Conduct key customer visits, lead negotiations, and handle major accounts.
- Monitor sales activities, review performance, and provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts.
- Oversee sales administration processes including customer service, order handling, invoicing, and credit control to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide technical guidance to sales representatives on products, solutions, and industry applications.
- Drive market awareness, analyze trends, and gather competitor insights to support commercial decisions.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of sales reports and updates into internal systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Country Manager.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or related fields.
- MBA or Business Management certification is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 4–5 years of solid experience in industrial sales (Factory Automation preferred).
- Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Experience in sales leadership or business management is highly preferred.
- Internal candidates (if any): minimum 3 years of experience in Sales.

- Strong technical knowledge of automation solutions and industrial markets.
- Good understanding of customer needs and industry segments.
- Excellent business acumen and market awareness.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Solid ability to coach, motivate, and develop a sales team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to forecast, plan, and report accurately.
- Ability to work under pressure with a result-oriented approach.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Proficient in MS Office (SAP experience is an advantage).
