This role sits at the intersection of research, industry, and community building. As Applied AI Researcher / Science Liaison, you will conduct applied research in advanced AI topics relevant to industrial automation while also building and coordinating a strong research ecosystem across Asia. The role combines applied research with scientific leadership. You will identify promising academic partners, coordinate collaborations, and help translate cutting-edge research into industrial applications.

 

 

Your job:

  • Conduct applied research in areas such as reinforcement learning, generative models, learning based control, perception and foundation models for industrial systems. 
  • Initiate and coordinate research collaborations with universities
  • Build and maintain a strong AI research community in Asia
  • Identify promising research directions and emerging technologies
  • Translate academic advances into industrial innovation
  • Represent Festo in scientific conferences and collaborations

 

Your qualification:

  • PhD in AI, Robotics, Machine Learning, or related field
  • Strong research track record and publications
  • Experience working with academic research communities
  • Ability to bridge research and industrial application
  • Experience with reinforcement learning or generative models
  • Experience coordinating research collaborations
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary environments

 

 

Working Location: Festo India Pvt Ltd. 237 B, Bommasandra Industrial Area, Hosur Main Road, Bangalore - 99.
Working Days: 5 days
Working Model: Hybrid - 3 days WFO and 2 days WFH
Working Timings: 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
