Test Engineer with focus on Electric & Electronic

Your tasks: 

• Alignment with the test manager and the test analyst on test strategy, test plan, time schedule, and technical test details.
• Execution of test sequences defined by test cases in ALM system.
• Planning, preparation, and setup of tests for execution at internal facilities or external labs.
• Execution and/or supervision of tests (climatic, endurance, vibration, IP degree of protection, creation of EMC test set ups and running tests).
• Evaluation of test results and documentation. Generation of test reports.
• Qualification of cables, connectors (plugs and sockets)- power supply and data/communication lines.
• Qualification of fieldbus and i/o devices using automated/semi-automated setups.
• Technical processing of customer complaints: Investigations, reproduction of failure, root cause analysis, proposal of containment actions in collaboration with quality department.
• Collaboration in an interdisciplinary, international, and agile team. 

Your qualification: 

• Completed studies in the field of mechatronics, electrical engineering, or similar.
• Several years of practical experience in setting up of complex automated test systems, including remote i/o devices and electric motors/controllers.
• Experience as a test engineer in the field of environmental testing would be a plus.
• Practical knowledge in programmable controllers (PLCs, Siemens, Beckhoff) and their associated peripherals.
• Basic knowledge in at least one of the three major industrial fieldbus protocols (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or EtherCAT).
• Basic knowledge/practical experience in working with an ALM tool such as Jira, Doors, or Codebeamer.
• Basic knowledge in software testing: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level will be considered as an advantage.
• Good written and spoken English skills (B2 or higher), German language skills would be a plus.
• Structured and abstract thinking as well as independence and ability to work in a team.
