Technical Writer

Your job:
•    Your main focus is on the creation of high-quality and in-time information products for our customers – thereby adhering to relevant standards, guidelines and Festo editorial guidelines.
•    Semantic data preparation according to didactic, stylistic and normative aspects for different target groups, for software products/electrical drive products.
•    Information research and design of user-centric content.
•    Support of information development and data preparation based on the requirements of digital transformation for new media.
•    Independent and efficient work in an interdisciplinary team.
 
Skills and requirements:
•    Degree in technical communication or comparable qualification.
•    Very good knowledge of English, at least level C2 spoken and written (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR).
•    German language skills are a plus.
 
Professional competence and requirements:
•    Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and in a target group-oriented manner.
•    Excellent written and spoken communication skills to successfully formulate concepts and ideas.
•    Knowledge of module-based data entry in a content management system (CCMS).
•    At least 3 years of professional experience in technical writing.
 
Personal skills and requirements:
•    Passion for evolving techniques in technical communication and very good analytical skills.
•    Highly motivated teamplayer and ability to work independently in a multidisciplinaryinternational environment.
•    Minimal travel activity (10%) to headquarters in Esslingen/Germany at regular intervals.
