Mechanical Design Engineer (Electric Automation Controls)

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Design and development of electro-mechanical modules (e.g. IO Modules) 

• Working in an interdisciplinary team being responsible for the development, design and evaluation of technical solutions and calculation under consideration of the related design standards, quality and cost requirements  

• Design customization of available products and support of the efficient industrialization 

• Technical support of the products over the whole life-cycle – product care, optimizations, etc. 

• Creating 2-and 3D documentation, BOM creation and part&function discussions with suppliers 

• Creating technical research and feasibility studies on new solutions 

• Continuously enhance and seek out methods and tools and actively acquire new knowledge 

Required abilities:

• Master in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or comparable with relevant experience;   

• Good command of 3D CAD systems (preferably CREO); Expertise in SAP as well as Windchill is a plus;     

• Knowledge in tolerance analyses and GD&T is beneficial;  

• Proficient English or German is a must; Second language will be considered as advantage;   

• Communication and team skills, as well as an independent, structured, and target-oriented approach to work; 

• Someone with a pro-active attitude, motivated in developing and implementing new ideas;
