Global Strategic Buyer Production Materials
Position Description:
- Responsible for the definition and implementation of global purchasing strategies for the assigned list of production materials.
- Participates in global commodity purchasing team meetings and support implementation of global purchasing strategies.
- Systematically explore market opportunities for the assigned material groups and suppliers.
- Lead the sourcing projects and supplier selection activities.
- Conducts tenders (standard and electronic) for the selection of suppliers of materials and services.
- Negotiate and finalize necessary contracts and agreements.
- Prepares reports and analyzes of purchased materials in order to optimize benchmark processes, time and/or costs.
- Monitors contracts execution in accordance with company procurement procedures.
- Monitors the development of material needs and negotiates the necessary production capacity with suppliers.
- Clarifies requirements and needs of internal stakeholders. Acts as supplier main interface for all questions concerning purchasing process.
- Monitors supplier performance and define measures for improvement in respect to defined KPI’s
- Participates and support audit procedures at suppliers.
Technical Competencies and Requirements:
- Higher education – economic or technical field of study.
- Business fluent English.
- Excellent computer literacy - MS Office; experience with SAP will be considered an advantage.
Professional Competencies and Requirements:
- Previous experience in the field of strategic procurement or on a similar position - at least 3 years.
- Experience in international teams and multicultural environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing plant will be considered an advantage.
