Embedded Software Architect

Your job:

• Derive, consolidate, maintain and test the functional requirements in embedded software for intelligent automation systems and sensors with focus on remote I/O, fieldbus systems and industrial Ethernet 
• Creation of technical specifications for new products based on the requirements from product manager;
• Design and maintain software architecture for products based on the portfolio requirements from product manager;
• Consult projects on software architecture of new product development, based on the software platform
• Conception and programming of embedded software based on real time operating systems;
• Support qualification as well as certification of the products;
• Active collaboration in comprehensive committees along the development process (project teams, FMEA, etc.); 

Technical Competencies and Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT / IT Engineering, Electronics, etc.;
• Excellent written and spoken English, knowledge in German language will be considered as an advantage; 

 
Professional Competencies and Requirements:

• Proven expertise and practical experience in software architecture design of embedded systems with a solid background in real-time systems;
• Semi-formal notation of SW architecture, real-time analysis (WCET); 
• Solid experience with RTOS. Good know-how of embedded hardware (ARM development boards, Single-Board Computers);
• Excellent coding skills in C / C++ and programming experience with usage of ALM tools;
• Previous experience with industrial fieldbus communication protocols is an advantage;
• Previous experience in cyber security and/or functional safety is an advantage.
• Introduction of serial production/mass realized for develop product will be considered as a serious advantage;
