Automation Software Engineer

Your Job:

• Coordinating and conducting the qualification of valve terminals with fieldbus interface with automation system-compatible components and the associated software;
• Qualification of software for real-time and non-real-time serial communication interfaces;
• Qualification of pneumatic related „smart” functional integrations, connected with valve terminals;
• Taking part in workshops, trainings and know how exchange with the colleagues worldwide;
• Working in an interdisciplinary, international, and agile product team. Designing, specificating, execution and documentation of software tests, considering the higher-level processes, methods and tools;
• Maintenance and documentation of test cases in the ALM system, as well as carrying out automated system tests;
• Evaluating and estimating the test results as well as creating and documenting the necessary verification documents.

 
Technical Competencies and Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics etc.;
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Professional Competencies and Requirements: 

• Embedded C/C++ experience
• Knowledge in communication monitoring and logging (e.g., wireshark, Jenkins);
• Programming skillsets in some of the areas of C # /. Net, Python, NI TestStand;
• Preferably practical experience with communication protocols and OSI-model;
• Experience with fieldbus protocols –EtherCAT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP;
• Basic knowledge in product Security and Safety protocols (Profisafe, FSoE und CIP Safety)– is considered as an advantage.
