Application and Platform Software Test Engineer

Your Job:

• Working in an interdisciplinary, international, and agile product team being responsible for the test of Festo Application Software and test benches under consideration of the international and internal Festo testing standards;
• Design, develop and maintain application-level test set-ups and tests related to GUI and REST API tests;
• Introduce state-of-the-art technology and novel concepts for platform testing;
• Analyzing the collected test results and prepare test protocols in close cooperation with the development teams;
• Refine requirements for the product development for testability of the platform;
• Support testing aspects of qualification as well as certification of the products.

Technical Competencies and Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT / IT Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.;
• Excellent written and spoken English, knowledge in German language will be considered as an advantage.

Professional Competencies and Requirements:

• Proven expertise and at least 3 years practical experience in test development;
• Programming skillsets in C#/.Net and/or Python;
• Practical experience in test frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Ranorex) will be considered as an advantage;
• Practical experience in remote IO systems and PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA, Beckhoff, Rockwell etc.) will be considered as an advantage;
• Good knowledge in test automation;
• Knowledge in DevOps and CI tools.
